Installing a 3.5-Inch Drive
in a 5.25-Inch Drive Bay
To install a 3.5-inch drive into a 5.25-inch drive bay, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the workstation and disconnect the power cord from the
grounded AC outlet and the back of the workstation.
2. Remove the following components:
workstation cover
front bezel
blank bezel
EMI shield (if applicable)
hard drive bay 5 (if installed)
3. See the following illustration to install a 3.5" drive in a 5.25" drive bay.
