Installing an Optional Diskette, CD-ROM, or
Tape Drive
To install an optional diskette, CD-ROM, or tape drive, follow these steps:
NOTE: These procedures can also be used for installing a SCSI device. Prior
to installing a SCSI device, please read "Installing Optional SCSI Devices" later
in this chapter.
1. Turn off the workstation and disconnect the power cord from the
grounded AC outlet and the back of the workstation.
2. Remove the following components:
workstation cover
front bezel
blank bezel
EMI shield
hard drive from bay 5 (if installed)
3. See the following illustrations to install an optional diskette, CD-ROM,
or tape drive.
