Printer may not be turned on. Turn on the printer.

System driver may not be set
up.
Microsoft Windows Printing
System may not be properly
installed.
Print Manager may be
causing the problem.
Printer may not be securely
connected to the computer.
Bitmapped fonts designed for
dot matrix printers do not
print as smoothly rounded
characters when used with
high resolution printers like
the BJC-610.
Certain MS fonts, such as MS
Serif, will print jagged.
Your computer is having a
problem communicating with
the printer.
Make sure the Microsoft Windows Printing
System is properly installed and set up. See
Chapter 3, Using the Microsoft Printing
System, for details.
Check that the BJC-610 is not assigned to the
same port as another Microsoft Windows
Printing System printer.
1. Switch the BJC-610 to a different port.
2. Restart Microsoft Windows.
Check the Print Manager for stalled print jobs
caused by the printer not being ready to
accept data. Delete all stalled jobs, make sure
the printer is on-line, and try to print again. If
errors continue, turn off the Print Manager.
Check that the printer is correctly connected
to the computer and that it is turned on. If the
problem still exists, follow these steps:
1. Open the Printers icon, which is located
in the Control Panel.
2. Select the Canon BJC-610 printer as
the default printer by double-clicking
on its name.
3. If Canon BJC-610 does not appear as
the default printer, click on the Connect
button.
4. Make sure the correct port is selected
and choose OK.
5. Double-click on Canon BJC-610 again.
Make sure you installed an outline font
manager, such as Adobe Type Manager or
Bitstream Facelift, or that you are choosing a
TrueType font.
Choose another font.
Follow these steps:
1. Select the Main group from the
Program Manager.
2. Double-click on the Control Panel.
3. Double-click on the Printers icon.
4. Select the BJC-610.
