1. Inspect the pattern.
There should be four horizontal lines between each pair of vertical lines.
If any horizontal line is missing, clean the print head unit. See Chapter 6, Maintaining
the Printer, for details.

Alignment Pattern

Each print head unit is designed to provide the correct print alignment; that is, all the colors line up
properly with no unwanted gaps or overlaps. However, after shipping or moving the printer, the print
head unit may need a slight adjustment to reoptimize the alignment that was set at the factory.
The first time you set up the printer or if you are experiencing poor print quality, you can perform the
following steps to select the best alignment for color printing.
To start the Alignment pattern, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Make sure paper is loaded.
