Removing the Processor Cage

The processor cage contains the processor cage system board and the following
components:
Processor(s)
Processor board(s)
Terminator board (if a single-processor system)
Memory expansion board
DIMM modules
Switches and connectors
To remove the processor cage:
1.
If the workstation is on, turn it off and disconnect the power cord.
NOTE:
the power switch, the workstation will automatically power down. This is not,
however, a recommended procedure for powering off the workstation.
2.
Disconnect any other external equipment.
3.
Unlock and open the front bezel.
4.
Remove the following components:
If you inadvertently remove the processor cage without turning OFF
large access panel
security screws
