Product Features
The Compaq Professional Workstation 6000 and the Compaq Professional
Workstation 8000 maximize the latest microprocessor technology to meet customer
application requirements. Both are extremely powerful computers designed for
complex applications such as 2D or 3D computer-aided design (CAD), computer-
aided engineering (CAE), graphics applications, animation, and computer
simulations. Both deliver Error Checking and Correcting Memory, PCI architecture,
integrated Fast Ethernet, and an integrated Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller on the PCI
Local Bus. The new workstation chassis provides exceptional serviceability.
