Product End-of-Life Disassembly Instructions
Purpose: The document is intended for use by end-of-life recyclers or treatment facilities. It provides the basic instructions for the
disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment, as defined by EU directive
2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
1.1 Items listed below are classified as requiring selective treatment.

    To remove the power supply PCA: HP uses three different power supplies from three different vendors in these computers. Use the following steps to determine which power supply you have and its required disassembly procedures.
  • Page 3 h. Remove the top PCA from the power supply. i. Cut the two large capacitors from the PCA (see Figure 11). j. Remove two screws from the black plastic piece on the bottom of the inside of the power supply (see Figure 12).
