4-6 Compaq Setup and Diagnostics Software
INSPECT provides the following information about the system's operating
environment:

Create a Diagnostics Diskette

This option allows you to create both Setup or Diagnostics diskettes from the
diagnostics partition. To create the diskettes:

Contents of the operating system startup files
Current memory configuration
ROM versions
Type of processor and coprocessor
Types of drives installed
Active printer and communications interfaces
Type of modem installed
Graphics details
Turn on or restart the workstation. If Windows NT is running, click
Start, Shut Down, Restart the computer.
Immediately after the workstation completes Power-On Self-Test
(POST), which is indicated on the screen by the memory check, the
system beeps twice and the cursor moves to the upper-right corner of the
screen.
Press F10 as soon as the cursor moves to the upper-right corner of the
screen.
If prompted, select the desired language.
Press Enter to bypass the Welcome to Compaq Utilities screen.
From the Compaq Utilities menu, select Create a Diagnostics Diskette.
One diagnostic and two setup diskettes will be created.
NOTE: The Diagnostics and Setup diskettes can also be created by
downloading the latest version from the Compaq website.
