Trigger Mode
If the Trigger Mode is enabled, receiving an active trigger signal activates a decode session. The session
continues until the barcode is decoded or the active signal is no longer present. For good decode, the
engine transmits decoded data via communication port. To activate another session, the Host needs to
first terminate the trigger signal, wait 20ms or longer and then send an active signal.
Sense Mode
If the Sense Mode is enabled, the engine activates a decode session every time it detects a change in
ambient illumination. The decode session continues until the barcode is decoded or the Decode Session
Timeout expires.
Receiving a trigger signal can also activate a decode session. The decode session continues until the
trigger signal becomes invalid or the barcode is decoded or the Decode Session Timeout expires. The
trigger signal needs to be terminated before the engine is able to monitor ambient illumination again.
