1. Recording Samples (Sampling)
NOTE
• The DIGITAL and OPTICAL settings can only
be effective when the optional AIEB2 I/O
Expansion Board is installed.
• When DIGITAL or OPTICAL is selected the
digital input signal will simultaneously be out-
put via the OUTPUT connector, while the
sound produced by the RS7000 will be output
via the DIGITAL OUT and OPTICAL OUT
connectors.
• Resampling allows samples to be re-recorded
after application of filtering, effects, and other
processing. The RS7000 allows the output
from sequencer tracks to be resampled, new
samples can be created from complex combi-
nation of multiple samples and sequence
data. The entire content of a pattern can be
easily turned into a single sample. When res-
ampling it is necessary to select the sampling
destination track (the selected destination
track will not play or be sampled).

MONO/STEREO
[Settings] MONO L, MONO R, MONO L+R, STEREO
MONO L............ The L-channel signal will be recorded
MONO R ........... The R-channel signal will be recorded
MONO L+R ....... The L-channel and R-channel signals
STEREO ........... A stereo sample will be recorded.
Specifies whether the input signal will be recorded as a mono
or stereo sample.

Calls the sampling standby page and engages the sampling
standby mode. Pressing [STANDBY/START/STOP] has the
same effect.

When this display is showing pressing the [STANDBY/START/
STOP] executes sample recording, calling the Sampling Execu-
tion page (Page 234) or the trigger wait page (Page 233).

LEVEL...............Sampling will begin as soon as an
input signal exceeding the specified
trigger level is received.
MEASURE ........Sampling will begin at the specified
punch-in measure, and end at the
specified punch-out measure.
MANUAL...........Sampling will begin as soon as the
[STANDBY/START/STOP] button is
pressed.
Specifies the method by which sampling will be triggered.
NOTE
When the SLICE+SEQ sample type is selected
and you want to accurately slice the sample
according to the specified note length, it is best
to set the TRIGGER MODE to MEASURE.
