In order to connect the zone circuits:
• Shut down the mains supply and disconnect the terminals of the power unit to the
battery.
• One by one remove the EOL-modules from the 4-zone expander connecting clamps
and fit them to the last detector of each of the circuits as observe the polarity - Figure
23.
• Connect each circuit to a separate zone on the terminal of the 4-zone expander.
• Connect the battery to the power source and apply mains power to the panel.
After powering up the panel should be in normal operation mode
!
and the "POWER SUPPLy 230V" LED lights up on the front panel of
MAG8Plus.
NOTE: If the GENERAL FAULT LED lights up and a fault indicator has been activated
for one or more zones on the front panel, the problem lies with the connection of the
circuits in these zones. Check the polarity of the connection of the devices and whether
there is a detector removed from its base.
• Activate one or more detectors to each connected zone to verify that fire signals are
generated and also that the panel operates correctly.
Connecting of FAULT and FIRE Relays
The relays with changeover contacts are intended for control of low voltage devices.
Attention: No mains power should be supplied to the clamps of the
!
FAULT and FIRE relays.
After the connection is established, test each of the circuits for external
device control.
Connecting of Sounder Circuits
Figure 24 shows how to connect the sounders. One R=10K resistor is connected to the
end of each circuit as shown in the diagram.
