Preparing the System for Use

Probe Connection

Use only approved probes. Probes can be connected or
disconnected from the system at any time regardless of
whether the system is powered ON or OFF.

Connecting a probe

When a probe is connected, the system will automatically
initialize the probe.
Until the Probe is connected to the system, a '?' will
appear at the left top corner of the screen.

1. Carefully unwrap the probe cord.
2. Do not allow the probe head to hang free. Impact
to the probe head could result in irreparable
damage.
3. Ensure probe 'connector lock' lever points
towards the 12 o'clock position. (See
Illustration 7.)
4. Align the connector with the probe port and
carefully push into place.
5. Turn the 'connector lock' to the 3 o,clock position
to secure the probe connector.
6. Carefully position the probe cord so that it is free
to move and is not resting on the floor.
