Select [9] in the Main Menu in U.S and Australian
Version and in the Sub Menu in European Version.
Horizontal Display line #1 appears on the screen.
Use the TRACKBALL and GAIN/ROTATE knob to
position the line #1 as the baseline. It can be rotated

either in the clockwise or counter
clockwise direction from the horizontal line.
Press MEASUREMENT or SET , display line #2
appears on the screen. The Greek letter beta (
appears halfway between lines 1 & 2 and the angle is

by default which is counter clockwise to line #1.
Use the TRACKBALL and GAIN/ROTATE knob to
position the line #2. With this rotation

in the counter clockwise direction
with reference to line #1.
Press MEASUREMENT or SET , display line #3
appears on the screen. The Greek letter alpha (
appears halfway between lines 1 and 3 and the angle

by default which is clockwise from line #1. In
the Calculation Result Area, the results of angles

Use the TRACKBALL and GAIN/ROTATE knob to
position line #3. With this rotation

If any of the three line placements are not
satisfactory, each line can be reactivated by pressing
MEASUREMENT.
Press SET to fix line #3.
Should further measurements need to be taken,
press SET again to invoke Display line #1 and follow
the procedure as indicated above. Upto four results
