Remove the hard disk

To remove the BCM50 hard disk:
Caution: Do not use an electric or magnetized screwdriver near the hard disk. You
can lose the information stored on the disk. Shock can damage the hard disk. Do not
drop or hit the hard disk drive.

Attach one end of a grounding strap to your wrist and the other end to a grounded metal
surface.

Ensure the BCM50 case is open. If it is not, refer to

Remove the Serial ATA cable from the hard disk. Refer to the figure
page 207
for the location of the cable.

Remove the power cable from the hard disk. Refer to

Lift the hard disk and hard disk bracket out of the BCM50 and place is on a flat, clean,
static-free surface.

Remove the four screws that secure the hard disk to the hard disk bracket.
