Install the new BCM50 Expansion Unit

Use one of the following procedures to install the new BCM50 Expansion Unit:
• "Install the BCM50 unit in an equipment rack" on page 97
• "Install the BCM50 unit on the wall" on page 101
• "Install the BCM50 unit on a flat surface" on page 106
After installing the new BCM50 Expansion Unit proceed to the procedure
page 199.

Connect the cables

To connect the cables to the new BCM50 Expansion Unit:
1 Insert the power supply retention clip into the new BCM50 Expansion Unit.
2 Rotate the power supply retention clip so that the power supply jack is clear.

Connect the power supply cord to the BCM50 Expansion Unit.

Rotate the power supply retention clip to lock the power supply cord in place.

Connect the expansion cable to the Expansion port on the front of the BCM50 Expansion Unit.
6 Connect the LAN cable to the LAN port on the front of the BCM50 Expansion Unit.
7 Connect all of the telephone line and extension cables to the media bay module (MBM)
inserted in the BCM50 Expansion Unit. To ensure the same line and extension numbering,
make sure you connect the cables to the ports from which the were removed.
