4-2-8 Galvano scanner

Galvano scanner is a scanner for radiating the laser beam along the coordinates of the setting data.
The galvano scanner scans the setting data by controlling the angle of galvano mirror mounted onto the axis of rotation of
motor with two axes to generate characters or drawings for the laser marking.
„ Effect from deterioration
Uneven wear may occur on the bearing inside the galvano scanner depending upon operating frequency and conditions. If
uneven wear develops, accurate reproducing may become difficult, resulting in skewness or misalignment of the marking lines.
„ Replacement interval
• Deterioration in quality of the marking lines, misalignment of lasing position, or incomplete marking or processing is observed.
• Alarm for galvanometer error occurred.
• Galvano scanner has been used for almost five years.*

4-2-9 Laser gate

[Only for LP-Mxxx-S type]
The laser gate present in the head acts a shield from the laser beam.
The motor in the laser marker head is driven by the external control signal and the laser beam is shut off.
„ Effect from deterioration
When the motor torque declines due to the opening/closing frequency, the opening/closing speed of the laser gate is
decreased or the shutter may not work.
If the laser gate is not working properly, the laser gate close output is not coupled to the input from the safety PLC.
„ Replacement interval
• The laser marker has been used for almost five years.*
