4. Adjust:
• Throttle grip free play
a. Slide back the rubber cover "1".
b. Loosen the locknut "2".
c. Turn the adjusting nut "3" until the speci-
fied throttle grip free play is obtained.
d. Tighten the locknut.

3.8 N·m (0.38 kgf·m, 2.8 lb·ft)
e. Slide the rubber cover its original position.
TIP
Make sure that the adjusting nut is covered com-
pletely by the rubber cover.

After adjusting the throttle grip free play,
start the engine and turn the handlebars to
the right and to the left to ensure that this
does not cause the engine idling speed to
change.

1. Check that all switches operate and that all
lights come on.

OWNER'S MANUAL.
