4 About the RFID furniture lock

The RFID furniture lock is an electronic handle set that can be fitted or retrofitted to
cabinet and compartment doors. Depending on the version, the RFID furniture lock
engages mechanically using a lever or espagnolette lock*. It is operated by means of
a knob. The knob can only be used to lock or open the door if an authorised locking
medium has first been held up to it. The RFID furniture lock is mounted on the
outer side of the door.
For use in an OMEGA FLEX system, a licence extension is required (furniture lock
module, art. no. 350120).
Installation positions
The RFID furniture lock can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Aligning
the knob based on the installation direction is recommended. CES recommends
positioning the knob so that it is vertical in the open position (see illustration) and
horizontal in the closed position.
Operating modes
The RFID furniture lock offers several operating modes. You can change from one
mode to another by means of RF programming.
