Event reports
Technical actions in the OMEGA FLEX system are stored as events in the locking device (or in
the locking medium for V-NET) and read out in the OMEGA Client. Such events include, for
example, when which locking medium was authorised for which locking device, which locking
medium gained access on which locking device at what time, battery warnings, etc.
The recording of events can be completely deactivated if preferred.
Events are displayed and evaluated in the CEStronics Suite. Detailed instructions can be found
in the CEStronics Suite Help.
Office function
The office function enables locking devices to be placed into office mode by locking media. In
office mode, locking devices are released for a specified period of time; during this time the
door can also be opened without a locking medium. Once the time period has elapsed, the
locking device automatically reverts to normal mode. In V-NET, office mode is not limited by
time; a locking device remains coupled until office mode is deactivated again by the locking
medium.
To use the office function, both the locking device and locking medium must be set up for the
office function in the OMEGA Client. The OMEGA Client therefore specifies
which locking devices have the office function (for LINE locking devices only)
l
which locking media are authorised to initiate office mode
l
during which time period these locking media can use the office function, for example,
l
Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
The office function is set up via the CEStronics Suite. Detailed instructions can be found in the
CEStronics Suite Help.
Authorisation management by locking plan
The locking plan is used to define the authorisations, i.e. which locking medium is authorised
to open which locking device.
Detailed instructions can be found in the CEStronics Suite Help.
Time evaluation
The time evaluation indicates when persons arrived and left over the course of the day and
can be used to record the hours worked. The time evaluation obtains its data from locking
devices for which time registration was enabled and from the locking media assigned to the
relevant persons.
Detailed instructions can be found in the CEStronics Suite Help.
