9.4 Battery management
9.4.1 Battery consumption
Battery consumption depends on various factors including the following:
Ambient temperature
Battery consumption increases at low ambient temperatures.
Beeper
Battery consumption increases when the beeper is on.
Actuation
The more frequently the device is actuated, the higher the battery consumption.

9.4.2 Battery warning system
When the battery output falls, the locking device displays additional signals when
authorised or unauthorised locking media have been held in the reading field of the locking device or

the locking device couples, e.g. after release mode or emergency mode was activated.

These additional signals are the battery warnings.
If you use the OMEGA Client software, you can have battery warnings sent to you automatically as e-mail
messages.

When the batteries are flat, the door can no longer be locked. Replace the battery immediately after
warning level 1.
