Installing Spectrum Software

Before you Start

If you have purchased a RamanMicro 300 at the same time as a RamanStation 400F or
RamanFlex 400 Series, you only need to install the software once according to the

If you have purchased a RamanMicro 300 upgrade to an existing RamanStation 400F or
RamanFlex 400 Series, you will need to install the new software supplied with this
RamanMicro 300 system. In this case you will need to uninstall the existing software before
installing the new software; see "Need to upgrade to a new version of Spectrum Software"

NOTE: Before connecting the PC to the spectrometer module you must install the Spectrum
software.
Before installation, please ensure that:
• All programs have been closed;
• If you are running any anti-virus software then it should be turned off before installing
the software.
NOTE: We strongly suggest you read the

Notes which can be found as a .rtf file and a .pdf file on the root of the CD, because
they contain important information that may not be in this manual or the Spectrum
