Make sure that the polarizing ridge on the fiber optic cable is aligned with the slot in the
coupler casing before carefully pushing the cable into the coupler.

2. Connect the collection cable (L1323339) from the Raman module to the COL port on
the rear panel of the spectrometer.
Ensure that the end of the fiber with the white cable marker is attached to the Raman
module.
Make sure that the polarizing ridge on the FOP cable is aligned with the slot in the
coupler casing before carefully pushing the cable into the coupler (Figure 19).
Try to bend the fiber as little as possible. If you bend the fiber through a
tight angle this can damage the fiber.
CAUTION
3. When you have connected both fiber optic cables, ensure that they do not touch the
illumination source.
You could use a cable tie to direct the cables round the source.
