Completing a Degas Operation

1 Remove the sample tube from the heating station. (For TriStar and ASAP
2000 and 2010 sample tubes, refer to TriStar 3000, ASAP 2000, and ASAP
2010 Sample Tubes earlier in this chapter.)
2. Press a stopper into the sample tube and place the sample tube in a rack to
cool.

4. Reweigh the sample tube with sample and stopper and record as sample
and sample tube weight after degas.
The weight recorded at this step may be compared to the weight re-
corded before degassing to determine if adequate degassing has occurred.
5. Place the gas delivery tube in the storage cavity behind the heating station.
