401- The communications port specified for the SmartPrep(s) is already in

The communications port associated with this instrument is in
use by some other program in the system.
Close the other program to release the port. Restart the
SmartPrep 065 program.
The communications port associated with this unit was not valid.
Run the setup program and set up the unit on a valid port.
The controller software running on the designated instrument is
invalid.
Use the SmartPrep Setup program to download the proper con-
troller software to the instrument, or contact a service repre-
sentative if the Setup program is unavailable.
There was a fatal error in the serial communications between
the application and the SmartPrep Instrument Controller. All dis-
plays for that SmartPrep will be closed.
Check that the SmartPrep is properly connected to the control
module on the communications port configured in the Setup pro-
gram. Stop and re-start the application. If this error persists,
contact your service representative.
