MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove cover (8) on the bottom of the fuel tank. (if equip-
ped)
2.
Turn valve (1) at the bottom of the fuel tank to CLOSE po-
sition (S).
3.
Open the door on the right side of the machine.
4.
Place a container under fuel prefilter cartridge (4) to re-
ceive the fuel.
5.
Loosen drain valve (2) and drain water and sediments
from transparent cup (3), and also drain all the fuel from fil-
ter cartridge (4).
6.
Disconnect connector (5).
7.
Wrap the disconnected connector with a plastic bag to pro-
tect it from fuel, oil and water.
8.
Turn transparent cup (3) counterclockwise to remove it by
using the filter wrench. Transparent cup (3) is used again.
9.
Turn filter cartridge (4) counterclockwise by using the filter wrench, and remove it.
10. Install currently removed transparent cup (3) to the bottom of the new filter cartridge.
At this time, be sure replace O-ring (6) with a new one.
REMARK
When installing the transparent cup, thinly apply oil to the packing surface and screw the cup. After it touch-
es the sealing surface of filter cartridge (4), tighten it 1/4 to 1/2 more turn.
If the transparent cup is tightened too much, the O-ring is damaged and this leads to fuel leakage. If it is too
loose, fuel also leaks from the clearance in the O-ring. Therefore, be sure to observe the tightening angle.
11. Clean the filter head, fill the new filter cartridge with clean fuel, thinly apply oil to the packing surface, then
install it to the filter head.
