This kit meets extended ambient operating temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. For more information about extended ambient

Before installing this option, be sure you have the following:

Procedure
Procedure
1. Observe the following alert:
IMPORTANT: After removing a high-performance (dual-rotor) fan, install or replace the fan within 60 seconds.
IMPORTANT:
Otherwise, the server will shut down gracefully.
2. Power down the server (Power down the server).
3. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Do one of the following:
a. Extend the server from the rack ( Extend the server from the rack ).
b. Remove the server from the rack ( Remove the server from the rack ).
5. Remove the access panel ( Remove the access panel ).
6. Remove all standard fans from the fan bays.
7. Remove fan blanks from the fan bays, if installed.
