The information presented in this section addresses the series 2 versions of the IQDM-P and IQDM handsets.
IQDM series 1 and IQDM-P series 1 handsets are not compatible with the Excel System. See Figure 12-2,
Page 12-1.
This manual spans software releases version 14 and version 15. The software version can be viewed in the
Information menu of the IQDM. See Information on page 11-18.

PLUGGING THE HANDSET INTO THE VEHICLE

1. Connect one end of the cable to the jack located on the bottom of the handset.
2. Connect the cable adaptor to the IQDM cable.
3. Find the IQDM jack on the vehicle (Figure 12-1, Page 12-1).
4. Remove the dust cap from the IQDM jack.
5. Align the keyed portion of the plug with the IQDM jack and connect the plug to the jack.
