Pressing [2] will toggle between direction options available (TENSION or
COMPRESSION). If, for example, a command to drive the crosshead at a particular
speed (see [1], [3], [3], [1] Define Test Profile) is being executed,
•
the crosshead will move up if the tension option has been selected
•
the crosshead will move down if the compression option has been selected

Pressing [3] will toggle between crosshead 'parking' options available (STOP or
HOME). When the test is complete, either no further crosshead movement will occur,
or the crosshead will be driven to the position specified by the 'Home Location'
command (see [1], [3], [3], [5], below)
[1], [3], [3], [4] Jog Rate
[Start/ENT] to store this speed. The 'jog rate' is the speed at which crosshead can be
manually driven, from the 'live screen, 'when either the [Jog Up] or [Jog Dn] key is
pressed and held down .
While the crosshead is being driven up the 'status indicator' will display 'D+', and
while the crosshead is being driven down the 'status indicator' will display 'D-'.

which the crosshead should finally be driven if the 'HOME' option is selected within
the 'Post Test' command (see [1], [3], [3], <3>, above).

crosshead should be driven when it needs to be 'parked' at the end of a test.
