CN8600 User Manual

Advanced Setting

The following sections describe the administration utilities covered under
Advanced Setting, including the Device Information, Network, ANMS,
Security, Console Management, Date/Time, Customization screens.

Device Information

The Device Information screen provides information about the CN8600's
status. You can change the device name in this screen.

General

 Device Name: To make it easier to manage installations that have more
than one CN8600, each one can be given a name. Enter a name (16
characters max.) for the CN8600 then click Save.
 MAC (1, 2) Address: The CN8600's MAC Address displays here.
 Firmware Version / FPGA: Indicates the CN8600's current firmware
version level and build. New versions of the CN8600's firmware can be
downloaded from our website as they become available (see Upgrade
Main Firmware, page 23). You can reference this number to see if there
are newer versions available on the website.
 IP Address: Displays the CN8600's Internet Protocol Version 4 (32 bit)
address (in the legacy format).
 Subnet Mask: This is the subnet mask for the IP connection.
 Gateway: This is the CN8600's gateway address.
 IPV6 Address / IPv6 Subnet Prefix Length: Displays the CN8600's
Internet Protocol Version 6 (128 bit) address (in the new format).
