Start the engine, lower the cutting units, shut
off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop.
Adjusting Lift Arm Clearance
1.
At each side of the machine, loosen the jam nuts
and back off the lift arm-stop bolts

Loosen the jam nut on the lift-cylinder rod

Remove the pin from the rod end and rotate the
clevis.

Install the pin and check the clearance.

Repeat steps

Start the engine, raise the cutting units, shut
off the engine, remove the key and wait for all
moving parts to stop.

Measure the distance between the left and right
lift arms and the floor plate brackets.
Note:
The correct clearance is 0.51 to 2.54 mm
(0.02 to 0.10 inch).

Repeat steps

Tighten the clevis jam nut.

Adjusting the Lift Arm Stop Bolts
Important:
A lack of clearance at the stop bolts
could damage the lift arms.
Note:
If the rear lift arm clunks during transport,
reduce the clearance.
1.
Start the engine, raise the cutting units, shut
off the engine, remove the key and wait for all
moving parts to stop.
2.
Adjust the stop bolt until you measure 0.13 to
1.02 mm (0.005 to 0.040 inches) between the
stop bolt and the lift-arm plate.
