Operational Problems
Fault
No display
No ringing

Cannot mute handset by

ring volume to "Silent".

15 Troubleshooting
Probable cause
The battery level is low or the
handset is defective.
The sound off icon is on, or
ringer volume set to silent, or the
handset is defective.
PBX dependent.
A handset restriction preventing
the user to silence the handset.
A handset restriction preventing
the user to switch off the
handset.
1) The handset does not support
the Easy Registration feature.

Charge the battery or
contact system
administrator.
Change the screen saver
setting as described in
Screen Saver
on page 77.
Long press the Sound off
key, or increase volume, or
contact system
administrator.
Changes in the handset
appear after a maximum of
24 hours after a change in
the system or by turning the
handset off and on again.

1) Make sure that the
handset's software is of
version 3.0.x or higher. In
idle more, press "*#34#" and
select "Software".
