4.3.4 Review Current, Gas Types and Pressures
Current (Amps), Gas Types, and Pressures are automatically set to default values
based upon Material Type, Thickness, and Process selections, but they can be
changed to suit the application or operator's experience.
Changes to Material Type, Thickness, or Process will automatically reset Current
(Amps), Gas Types, and Pressures to default values based upon the cutting charts.

Current (Amps)
Press the Current button and then
select from the list of amperages.
Current Lock
Press the icon to lock (
Current (Amps) so changes to
Material Type or Thickness do not
change the amperage. Press the
icon again to unlock (
Gas Types
Press the Plasma or Shield gas
button and then select from the list
of gases. Preflow gas is always
nitrogen; the pressure cannot be
adjusted.
Gas Pressure
Press the data entry button (
to enter the desired pressure in
pounds per square inch (PSI) for
the selected gas type.
