4.2 Operational Sequence

4.2.1 Power Up the System
Apply power to the Ethernet router/switch and HMI. Start the Plasma Console App.
Apply primary (wall) power to the System.
The status light on the Power Supply will initially blink green, and then:
• If there are no errors, the status light will change to steady green and the ON
button (Power Supply) will pulse white. The System's outputs are disabled.
• If there is an error, the status light will blink red in a pattern that defines the
error code. Once the error condition is corrected, the status light will change
to steady green and the ON button (Power Supply) will pulse white. Some
errors, even though corrected, require the System's power to be cycled.
The status light on the AGC will begin blinking green to indicate normal operation.
The System ON button (Plasma Console App) will be grey.
4.2.2 Make a Cut or Mark
Select the Material Type, Thickness, and Process on the Plasma Console App
(Refer to Section 4.3). Note that gases will purge automatically when switching
between oxidizing gas or oxygen containing gas to combustible gas and vice versa.
Select View Torch Parts on the Plasma Console App. Identify which consumables
are required. Power will be removed during the next step so the Plasma Console
App will not be available for reference.
Install the required consumables into the torch (Refer to Section 5.6).
Confirm the recommended cutting and marking parameters displayed on the Plasma
Console App have been set on the torch height control and CNC.
Confirm the gas pressures on the Plasma Console App by comparing the values on
the Material and Gases screens.
Clear the EStop, if installed.
Press the ON button (Power Supply) or System ON Button (Plasma Console App),
which will trigger the following sequence:
a. After 3 seconds the Power Supply's main contactor will close (audible click).
b. After 5 seconds the ON button (Power Supply) will change to steady white
and then the System ON button (Plasma Console App) will change to green
to indicate that the System's outputs are enabled.
c. Gases will purge for 30 seconds out of the torch.
