Preparing for installation

For smooth installation and operation, please heed the following:
- Make sure there is a sufficient gap to the wall or other objects for maintenance work to be carried out.
- Maintain a stilling section before and after the Ecolift (min. 1 m).
- E xecute the pressure pipe in accordance with DIN EN 12056 (with backwater loop via the locally specified
backwater level and connect directly to an extended (min. DN70) aerated basic or collective pipe (pressureless
pipe connections (e.g. HT pipe) are not permitted for pressure pipes)).
- Route a cable conduit (DN70) from the Ecolift to where the control unit is installed. Changes of direction must
be made using 45° bends only.
When selecting the installation location, take the position for the control unit into consideration:
The electric components have cable lengths of 5 metres (extensions are available as optional extras). For the
pump to be lifted out of the drain body completely for maintenance work, there must be a sufficient length of
pump connection cable within the drain body.
The cable conduit serves to vent the space above the pump. For this reason, it must not be sealed airtight.
A socket (safety socket, 230 VA) is required for the control unit.
- If a vent pipe is installed instead of the venting valve, install a corresponding pipe connection through to the
drain body.
