Installation

4.1
Transport
The following transport instructions must be followed:
Transporting and lifting the tank is only allowed using a
crane (illustrated lifting eyebolts) or a forklift truck (only on
a pallet).
When lifting, the two transport eyebolts near the upper
section must be used.
The tank may only be lifted at the transport eyebolts with
hemp ropes or fabric straps; wire ropes and chains are
not allowed.
4.2
General installation information
CAUTION
Note and follow the documentation enclosed with the control unit delivered with the system.
Only install control units intended for use with these systems.
Requirements for positioning and quality of the excavations
classify the in-situ soil requirements (soil properties) with regard to the structural suitability (e.g. DIN 18196 or USCS -
Unified Soil Classification System).
In cases of installation in areas of high ground water level, determine the maximum groundwater level. If this exceeds the
groundwater resistance (see Technical Data chapter), contact the factory customer service. Ensure drainage of imperme-
able soils.
Ensure frost-free installation depth of the inlet/outlet pipes for all-year use. The installation depth must be clarified, taking
into consideration the minimum and maximum soil cover.
The traffic load (load class) must be clarified. If necessary, cover plates with a higher class must be procured, and/or a
load distribution plate must be built on site. The standard road construction must be complied with in trafficable areas.
Loads from adjacent foundations or laterally pressing soil pressure must be avoided or prevented by countermeasures
taken on site.
PVC-U pipes, PP or PE pipes are suitable pipes for further laying. EN 124 and EN 476 must be complied with.
A stilling section, with length at least equal to ten times the cross-section of the inlet pipe, must be provided directly
upstream of the separator. The transition from downpipes to horizontal pipes must be made with two 45° bends and a 250
mm length of pipe between them.
4.3
Dig out excavations/position tank
The following must be noted when digging out the excavations and positioning the tank:
Excavate the slope angle β according to the in-situ soil requirements.
Lay a proper blinding layer:
Layer of compacted crushed stone approx. 30 cm high (0-16mm).
Prepare fill material at the side: ring-shaped, all the way round approx. 50 cm, crushed stone (0-16mm), compacted every
30 cm .
Adjacent foundations
The chamber must not be installed in a location where it
could influence adjacent foundations, i.e.
minimum distance a = distance between the bottom edge of
the chamber and bottom edge of the foundation:
a = ΔH x 1.73
In addition, the floor slab near the chamber must not be
used for calculating the traffic load for the building.
Place the tank flat on the blinding layer and align it so that
the pressure pipe faces in the required direction.
If required, fix in position with an all-round wedge embed-
ment of lean concrete.
