Installation

4.1
General installation information
The system's control unit must be positioned in such a way as to prevent any unauthorised use.
Consequential damage can occur in the building if the system is switched off accidentally.
Assembly sequence
The system is installed and put into operation at different times according to the usual construction phases on a building site.
Installation of the tank (base section of the chamber system).
Connection of wastewater inlet and outlet, as well as connection of the pressure pipe via which the wastewater is
pumped off.
Installation of the chamber system, starting from the system tank (not described in these instructions).
Installation of the delivered assemblies, starting with chapter 4.2.
Installation of the control unit and connection of the electrical components (see "Installing the control unit", page 30).
Initial commissioning (see "System commissioning", page 32).
4.2
Fixing the tank
Fix the Ecolift XL tank in exposed installation all around with
conventional angle connectors 50 x 50 mm.
These are each screwed into the side of the tank with 4 no.
4 x 35 mm Spax screws.
Fix downwards depending on the soil conditions.
Use KESSEL sound insulating underlay mat to minimise
sound transfer.
4.3
Setting up the pressure pipe connection
The pressure pipe connection is designed in PE DN 80 (DA=90 mm) SDR 17.
KESSEL recommends connection of standard PE-HD electrofusion couplers.
4.4
Connecting the ventilation pipe
WARNING
If the ventilation pipe is not connected, the sensors
in the tank will malfunction, which in turn can lead to
complete functional failure of the system.
Saw off the socket for the ventilation pipe to the required
length.
Route the ventilation pipe (DN70) to above the roof, or to
a vent stack. The ventilation pipe must have a clear route
to atmosphere, and be able to allow air to pass in both
directions.
