NOTICE: Two flat steel washers will become free when
short axle is removed.

Hold differential gear and remove short axle.
IMPORTANT: Make sure two sleeve bushings remain
inside short axle ends.

Remove hardware securing axle bearing to frame and
remove bearing. See Figure 86.
NOTICE: Bearing plate is not a wear item and does not
have to be replaced unless damaged.

Install Right Axle Bearing

See Figure 87.
1.
Position bearing plate and flange bearing against
frame.
2.
Insert three hex bolts from inside frame through
bearing plate and bearing. Secure with three locking
nuts.

Reinstall short axle until a small portion of axle is
through frame.
4.
Reinstall two flat steel washers onto short axle. See
Figure 65.
5.
Align differential gear with pinion gear and short axle.
Reinstall axle into differential.
6.
Reinstall long axle into differential gear and reinstall
E-ring onto axle end.
7.
Reinstall bottom cover and secure with two tapping
screws and four hex bolts.
8.
Reinstall wheels and secure with snap clips.
9.
Return tractor to operating position, support
handlebars and reinstall brush attachment. See Install
Brush to Frame on page 8.
10. Fill fuel tank and reconnect spark plug wire.
