SWING GATE REPLACEMENT

Remove Swing Gate Assembly

NOTICE: Save all hardware for reinstallation.
1. Turn engine switch to OFF position and wait for all
moving parts to stop and for hot parts to cool.
2. Disconnect spark plug wire from engine.
3. Remove traction belt. See Remove Traction Drive Belt
on page 10.

4. Position tractor / frame on a support, such as wood
blocks, so wheels are off the ground. Make sure unit is
secure and will not tip.
5. Remove snap clip from axle ends and remove wheels.

6. Disconnect traction drive clutch cable and return
spring from swing gate.
NOTICE: To gain more cable slack, traction drive clutch
cable may need to be removed from traction clutch lever.

7. Remove three hairpins and one flat steel washer from
pivot rod and remove pivot rod. See Figure 22.
