7.
Reinstall belt cover and secure left side with one
tapping screw. Position right side of belt cover under
tapping screw and tighten.
8.
Reinstall brush lock trigger onto handlebars and
secure with machine screw and lock washer. See
Figure 5.
9.
Reposition brush lock cable into J-clamp on engine
mount.
10. Reconnect spark plug wire and fill fuel tank.

BOTTOM COVER REMOVAL

Remove Bottom Cover

NOTICE: Save all hardware for reinstallation.
1.
Separate brush from frame. See Separate Brush From
Frame on page 7.
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Before rotating unit
forward, drain fuel from tank and fuel system.
See Draining Fuel System on page 7. Make sure
unit is secure and will not tip.
2.
Slowly rotate tractor / frame forward so unit rests on
engine sheave. Protect sheave to avoid damage.
CAUTION: AVOID ENGINE DAMAGE. DO NOT
leave unit in service position for longer than 30
minutes. Allow 30 minutes for oil to return to
crankcase before starting engine.
3.
Remove hardware securing bottom cover to frame
and remove cover. See Figure 9.

Install Bottom Cover

1.
Reinstall bottom cover and secure with two tapping
screws and four hex bolts.
2.
Return unit to operating position and support
handlebars. Make sure unit is secure and will not tip.
CAUTION: AVOID ENGINE DAMAGE. Allow unit
to rest in operating position for 30 minutes before
starting engine.
3.
Reinstall brush attachment to frame. See Install Brush
to Frame on page 8.
