Install U-Joint Assembly

1. Install U-joint assembly through bearings, but DO
NOT tighten bearing hardware or set screws. See
Figure 49.

2. Rotate brush frame into operating position.
3. Reinstall attachment pulley onto U-joint assembly.
Secure with one locking washer and one hex bolt.
Torque to 18 – 16.5 N•m (5.8 – 12.2 lb-ft).

4. Rotate brush frame back to service position.
5. Pull U-joint assembly up, hold assembly and tighten
bearing set screws.
6. Tighten hardware retaining bearings.
7. Rotate brush frame back to operating position.
IMPORTANT: Attachment pulley hub MUST be tight
against bearing. See Figure 52.
