Loosen, but DO NOT remove hardware retaining
brush lock trigger and remove trigger. See Figure 5.
WARNING: ALWAYS support tractor / frame
when loosening hardware retaining it to brush
attachment.
See Figure 6.
10. Position support under handlebars so tractor / frame
will not tip when disconnected from brush attachment.
11. Chock or block wheels to prevent tractor / frame
movement when separated from brush attachment.

12. Remove hardware securing brush attachment to
tractor / frame.
13. Separate brush attachment from tractor / frame.

INSTALL BRUSH TO FRAME

1.
Lower brush attachment rear into frame so mount
brackets rest on mount rod. See Figure 7.
2.
Secure brush attachment to frame with two tapping
screws, but DO NOT tighten hardware.
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Engine sheave
edges are sharp. Wear thick gloves when guiding
belts onto engine sheave.
3.
Reinstall attachment belts onto engine sheave.
NOTICE: To assist belt reinstallation, slowly pull recoil
starter handle while guiding belts into engine sheave.
4.
Reinstall belt finger and secure with two flat steel
washers, two locking washers and two hex bolts.
5.
Torque hardware installed in step 2 to 36.6 – 47.5 N•m
(27 – 35 lb-ft).
6.
Check belt finger clearance:
• Engage attachment clutch lever and traction clutch
lever and make sure belt finger located opposite belt
idler is less than 3.2 mm (1/8") from belts, but not
touching the belts. See Figure 8.
• If needed, adjust clearance by loosening hex bolts,
repositioning belt finger and tightening bolts.
