DGS-3212SR Switch CLI Reference
config snmp system_name
Purpose
Used to configure a name for the switch.
Syntax
config snmp system_name <sw_name>
Description
This command is used to give the switch an
alpha-numeric name of up to 128 characters.
<sw_name> − An alpha-numeric name for the

switch of up to 128 characters.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this
command.
SNMP Commands
Example Usage:
To configure the switch name for "DES-3250":
DGS-3212SR:4#config snmp system_name DES3250
Command: config snmp system_name DES3250
Success.
