Ping
Ping, shown in Figure 65, is a utility to determine if a specific IP address is
accessible. Ping sends a packet to the specified address and waits for a reply. Its
primary purpose is to troubleshoot LAN connections.
A successful reply displays the IP address and packet size in bytes, sequencing
and the port number the reply was received through. An unsuccessful reply
displays a timeout and the sequence number.

IP Address
Specify the IP Address to be tested.
Ping Count
Ping has several modes: single, multiple continuous.
Enter the IP address and select Apply to send out a single ping.
A successful ping is displayed as a reply and indicates the IP address the came
from, bytes, sequence and port number.
An unsuccessful ping results in a request timed out and gives the sequence
number.
