3.2.2

Sense data (4-03-xx), (4-40-xx), (4-44-xx), and (4-C4-xx)

Sense data (4-03-xx), (4-40-xx), (4-44-xx), and (4-C4-xx) indicate one of the following:
A target sector could not be detected using the sector counter.
A seek process overran the specified time.
A write to a disk terminated abnormally.
An error occurred in power-on self-diagnosis.
A hardware error occurred inside IDD.
A drive error occurred.
The symptoms above are generally caused by an error in a PCA or DE.
For details of the sense data above, refer to the Fibre Channel Logical Interface Specifications.
3.2.3

Sense data (1-1x-xx), (3-1x-xx) and (E-1D-00): Disk read error

If sense data (1-1x-xx), (3-1x-xx) or (E-1D-00) occurs frequently in a specific block of a disk,
there is disk damage that was not recorded in the media defect list. In this case, assign an
alternate block to the error-detected block using a REASSIGN BLOCKS command. For an
explanation of the REASSIGN BLOCKS command, refer to the Fibre Channel Logical
Interface Specifications.
If this error occurs in different blocks, a PCA or DE is faulty.
For details of the above sense data, refer to the Fibre Channel Logical Interface Specifications.
3.2.4
Sense data (5-2x-xx), (5-3D-00), (5-90-00), (B-47-xx), (B-49-00), (B-4D-xx) and (B-4E-00):
fibre channel interface error
Sense data (5-2x-xx), (5-3D-00), (5-90-00), (B-47-xx), (B-49-00), (B-4D-xx) and (B-4E-00)
indicates one of the following symptoms:
An invalid or unsupported command was issued, or invalid or unsupported parameters
were specified.
A fibre channel interface error occurred.
If this error occurs, a PCA or the fibre channel interface is faulty.
For details of the above sense data, refer to the SCSI Logical Interface Specifications.
