11 Antivibration Elements

11.1

Tools, Servicing Aids

Socket, T27x125 – 0812 542 2104 or equivalent
Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302 or equivalent
Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415 or equivalent
Punch-down tool – 5910 890 4000 or equivalent
Pipe wrench
STIHL OH 723 press fluid – 0781 957 9000

Removing the Antivibration Elements

Preparations, @ 3.1.
N
Remove the tank housing, @ 10.5.
N
Remove the backplate, @ 10.9.
N
Unscrew bearing plugs (1) with springs (2)
N
counterclockwise from their mounts.
If the bearing plugs and springs cannot be unscrewed
N
by hand: Use a pipe wrench.
Unscrew bearing plugs (1) counterclockwise from the
N
springs (2).
Unscrew bearing plug (4) with spring (5)
N
counterclockwise from bearing plug (6).
Unscrew bearing plug (4) counterclockwise from the
N
spring (5).
Take out the screw (3).
N
Remove the bearing plug (6).
N

Installing the Antivibration Elements

Fit the bearing plug (6).
N
Insert and tighten down the screw (3).
N
Screw the spring (5) clockwise onto the bearing plug
N
(6) as far as stop.
Screw the bearing plug (4) clockwise onto the
N
spring (5) as far as stop.
If the springs and bearing plugs cannot be fitted by
N
hand: Coat guides in bearing plugs with press fluid.
Screw the springs (2) clockwise onto their mounts as
N
far as stop.
Screw the bearing plug (1) clockwise onto the
N
springs (2) as far as stop.
Install the backplate, @ 10.12.
N
Install the tank housing, @ 10.6.
N

Removing the Stop Buffer

Preparations, @ 3.1.
N
Remove the tank housing, @ 10.5.
N
Remove the backplate, @ 10.9.
N
Use punch-down tool 5910 890 4000 to pry out the
N
stop buffer (7).
