Fit the snap ring (18) in the installing tool 5910 890
N
2213 (Figs. 1 - 3).
Position the installing tool 5910 890 2213 so that it is
N
on the axis of the piston pin (17) and the mark (arrow)
faces up (Fig. 4).
Hold the piston (13) steady and install the snap ring
N
(18) in the piston (13) with installing
tool 5910 890 2213.

Make sure the gap (arrow) in the snap ring (18) is
N
facing either up or down.
Install crankshaft (11) with piston (13), @ 20.5.
N
Remove engine pan (8) and oil seals (10 and 12), @
N
20.4.
20.8 Installing Crankshaft with Piston
If the piston (13) has been removed: Install the piston
N
(13), @ 20.7.
Coat piston (13) and piston rings (15 and 16) with
N
two-stroke engine oil.
Check that gaps of piston rings (15 and 16) are offset
N
180°.
Push the piston (13) with crankshaft (11) into the
N
cylinder (5).
Install engine pan (8) and oil seals (10 and 12), @
N

20.9 Removing Valves and Valve Springs
Remove engine pan (8) and oil seals (10 and 12), @
N
20.4.
Remove crankshaft (11) with piston (13), @ 20.5.
N
Remove rocker arms, @ 18.2.
N

Press the valve spring retainer (3) down and move it
N
sideways until the intake valve stem is in the large
hole.
Remove the valve spring retainer (3).
N
Remove the valve spring (4).
N
Pull the intake valve (7) out of the cylinder (5).
N
Remove valve spring retainer (3) and valve spring (4)
N
of exhaust valve (6).
Pull the exhaust valve (6) out of the cylinder (5).
N
If head of ether intake valve (7) or exhaust valve is
N
damaged: Replace intake valve (7) and exhaust valve
(6).
If the valve springs (4) are damaged: Replace the
N
valve springs (4).
If valve seats in cylinder (5) are damaged: Replace
N
the cylinder (5).

NOTICE
The diameter of the intake valve (7) is larger than that of
the exhaust valve (6).
Fit intake valve (7) in intake side of cylinder (5).

Fit exhaust valve (6) in exhaust side of cylinder (5).
