Fit the ring (41) with sealing ring (42) on the throttle
N
shaft (38) so that the sealing ring (42) faces the
carburetor (10).
Use screwdriver 0000 890 2300 to push the pump
N
piston (41) into the carburetor (10) and fit the throttle
shaft (38). Turn the throttle shaft (38) back and forth
in the process.

Rotate the throttle shaft (38) counterclockwise and
N
hold it so that its flat side faces outwards and the
straight end of the spring (39) locates against the
carburetor (10) (arrow).
Fit the throttle shutter (9) so that the number (arrow)
N
is visible and the small hole (arrow) is closed by the
throttle shaft (38).
Coat thread of screw (8) with Loctite 242.
N
Insert the screw (8) but do not tighten it down yet.
N
Close the throttle shutter (9).
N
This centers the throttle shutter (9) in the carburetor's
bore.
Tighten down the screw (8).
N
Open and close the throttle shutter (9) several times.
N
If the throttle shutter (9) sticks:
Center it again.
N

Fit washer (26) on the pin (24).

Push the pin (24) together with washer (26) into the

throttle lever (27).
Fit E-clip (28) in groove of pin (24).

Push the sealing ring (31) into the ring (30).

Fit the ring (30) with sealing ring (31) on the throttle

shaft (38) so that the sealing ring (31) faces the
carburetor (10).
Fit the spacer sleeve (29) on the throttle shaft (38).

Push the throttle lever (27) onto the throttle shaft (38)
N
as far as stop.
Insert and tighten down the screw (26).
N
Use screwdriver 5910 890 2307 to push the plug (43)
N
into the bore in the carburetor (10) so that distance 'a'
is 0.1 mm.

Screw low speed screw (33) as far as stop into the

tapped hole marked 'L' (arrow).
Screw high speed screw (32) as far as stop into the
N
tapped hole marked 'H' (arrow).
Screw idle speed screw (36) as far as stop into te

tapped hole in the carburetor (10).
9.4.5 Installing the Inlet Needle

Fit the inlet needle (13).

Fit the spring (12).
N
Insert spindle (15) in the inlet control lever (14).
N
Position the inlet control lever (14) with spindle (15)
N
on the spring (12) first, then slide the inlet control
lever's clevis into the annular groove in the inlet
needle (13).
Press the inlet control lever (14) down and hold it
N
there.
Insert and tighten down the screw (11).
N
