The valve clearance on the intake valve (12) and exhaust
valve (13) must be 0.10 ± 0.02 mm in each case.
Insert feeler gauge 5910 893 6400 (11) between the
N
rocker arm and valve stem.
Valve clearance is correct if the feeler gauge 5910 893
6400 (11) can be pulled through with slight resistance.
If the feeler gauge 5910 893 6400 (11) can be pulled
through too easily or only with difficulty or not at all: Adjust
valve clearance
If valve clearance has to be increased: Rotate locknut
N
(arrows) counterclockwise.
If valve clearance has to be reduced: Rotate locknut
N
(arrows) clockwise.
Turn the engine over several times.
N
Check valve clearance again with feeler gauge 5910
N
893 6400 (11) and readjust if necessary.
Cleaning the sealing faces on the valve cover (6) and
N
cylinder.
Fit the gasket (7).
N
Fit the valve cover (6).
N
Push the sealing ring (5) onto the thread of screw (4).
N
Insert and tighten down the screw (4).
N
Install the spark plug (1).
N
Fit the cover (2) together with screw (3).
N
Insert and tighten down the screw (3).
N
Install the rewind starter, @ 6.14.
