5.2.7. Last Zone Interruption
This happens with automated Workstations and conveyors where the OPEX
conveyor is excepting hand-off containers from a third-party conveyor were
extra containers do not receive the signaling to stop entering the OPEX
conveyor. The light tower is usually red or Blue/Red if a missed window is
present. This error usually means an integrated sensor exists, and needs to be
covered to keep other containers from entering the OPEX Conveyor while the
jam is being cleared (Figure 5-14).
To clear the jam:
1. After blocking the integrated sensor (if it is present), you must remove all
but one container from the last zone of the conveyor. Then pick up that last
conveyor with the zone is either clear or turns into a missed window.
2. At that point you can place the container onto the workstation.
3. Remove any missed windows were containers should exist.
4. If done correctly, the conveyor should auto correct.
5. Remove the cover for the integrated sensor.
6. In some cases, you have to press the Start button on the workstation to
restart the conveyor.
