to severe personal injury or death by exposure to mechanical hazards, hazardous optical radiation, and the
risk of electric shock. Unplug the power cable before cleaning the instrument. Do not allow fluids or objects
to enter the interior of the instrument. Always wear protective gloves and eyewear to protect against potential
biohazard exposure. Dispose of contaminated tissues and swabs according to their biological security level.
The MultiMACS Cell24 Magnet is motor-driven. Keep away from all moving parts! Do not reach for plates,
columns, or any item between the Tip-Touch Plate and the magnet! Do not place any bodily parts between
the magnet and the MultiMACS Column Holder while the magnet is moving!

Cleaning the instrument
The MultiMACS Cell24 Separator, the MultiMACS Cell24 Magnet, and the MACS Elution Station, including the
MACS Elution Chamber base and lids, must not be submerged in water or cleaned in a dish washer, ultrasonic
cleaner, autoclave, or similar appliances.
Use a wash solution containing detergent, such as 1% SDS solution and/or 70% ethanol for disinfection and

cleaning.
Clean up spillages immediately.

If the instrument moves accidentally during Tip-Touch, clean the instrument feet with alcohol.

Heat can cause damage to the MultiMACS Cell24 Magnet. Make sure that the MultiMACS Cell24 Magnet
is not exposed to temperatures above 80°C during cleaning. Do not use a dishwasher or autoclave for
cleaning or disinfection of the MultiMACS Cell24 Magnet.
Important safety information . Do not service the equipment yourself. Service shall be
